This event examined the careers of both actress and designer and the work that they created together on screen.

A film season about the cinema produced in Spain from the arrival of democracy (1976) and up to the end of the 80s, including the "movida madrileña". This period in Spain produced many films that tried to break with the previous climate of repression and contributed to a new national identity mostly characterised by democratisation and social liberation. It gave a green light to an alternative, adventurous and eclectic culture or counter-culture and to innovating talents such as Pedro Almodóvar, Fernando Trueba and Iván Zulueta in the field of cinema.
An exhibition on the longstanding dialogue between the actress and photographer and sculptor Xavier Mascaró

In 1929 Buñuel and Dalí's collaboration on Un Chien Andalou introduced surrealism to film and changed the face of filmmaking in ways that still resonate in the twenty-first century. Lorca perceived the film as a personal insult and provided a reply to the heterosexual thrust of the film with Trip to the Moon.
With a superb and at times moving montage including still photos, archive footage, films, adverts and popular songs from the time, this is an incisive look at the war and, mostly, at post-war daily and public life..

Cinema and the Spanish Civil War
A film season offering different views of the period and its consequences. There are documentaries and films that look directly at the war itself, as well as films that use the period as a backdrop to other stories.

A film season dedicated to Federico Garcia Lorca's genius and it's influence over so many filmmakers and artists.
